Have you ever seen a frog frown? Well, here we have two of them frowning at each other. But why?

I LOVE the style & illustrations on this cover & throughout the book. Who can resist frogs in swim shorts & a bathing suit!? šŸ’¦

If you're a frog, looking for the perfect rock to rest on & relax is a serious task - maybe a bit like a human searching for a comfy chair or sofa.

It seems even frogs enjoy some peace & quiet during their day. All that swimming, leaping around and catching flies šŸŖ°šŸŖ°šŸŖ° for breakfast & lunch must be exhausting.

Two frogs in their swim gear, with a picnic basket, deck chair, flask of tea & a fishing rod - they're all set.

Two frogs but one perfect rock. How will they solve this problem?

Do they have good reasons to convince each other to move on or claim it as their own?

With such an original & creative story there's even the added fun of rhyme in the text.

This is also a great element that can help youngsters reading aloud themselves (or sharing reading time with a sibling/adult) to anticipate the corresponding words.

Everyone can enjoy finding extra little details in the superb illustrations.

So much thought, time, imagination & artistic skill has gone into creating this very special story.

It definitely has to be on my list of favourite picture books!

The Author+Illustrator pairing is brilliant.

I am so grateful to have the chance to read, enjoy & review this beautifully produced book. Thank you, Scholastic UK. It's definitely going to be recommended to the fabulous children & parents at our reading MiniClub (for junior chemo patients) & I am sure it will feature in a book treasure hunt, very soon.
