Published by Simon & Schuster UK

If you haven't met Gertie, The Littlest Yak from Lu Fraser's previous picture book (illustrated by Kate Hindley), what have you been doing!? You'll LOVE that book but here is the next one to be excited about!

One quick look at Doug, right there on the cover & you just know he's going to be such a fun & unusual camel!

Look at that snazzy quiff hairstyle & his groovy legwarmers!

Get ready for some lovely rhymes & a crazy, fun story.

Doug's adventure starts with just him but guess who else will soon join in? Doug's day starts as a quiet, peaceful time reading his own book near a bendy palm tree on a picnic rug. One camel, one book & one tree but that will change!

Can you imagine camels playing party games, dancing under a sparkly disco ball, dressing up or skipping with a rope? If you can think of something exciting, fun & VERY unusual, it might just be happening in this book!

Doug & his new friends definitely know how to have fun & enjoy their time together, discovering new games they can play when there's more than just ONE camel.

The vibrant illustrations by Sarah Warburton add even more joy to this imaginative story. The details in each picture will spark conversation & provide endless possibilities for free writing or artwork ideas at home or school.

This is going to be a very popular addition to the reading MiniClub's library & I am sure it is going to be on the 'Book of the Week' shelf as soon as it arrives & has its first read-through! The members will take turns reading this story to each other & their medics.

Doug & his colourful friends are going to make a lot of people smile!
