OMGosh! I don't think Mrs Golightly looks very happy on this cover, but the cover itself is GORGEOUS!!

She might be a bit grumpy at the beginning of the story but you really have to read this one to see what's going on with all those animals.

You'll love it! 🐾

A fantastic story from Susie Bower, author of School for Nobodies, The Three Impossibles & The Dangerous Life of Ophelia Bottom (all 100% recommended).

This is her dĂŠbut picture book & has superb illustrations by Francesca Gambatesa that bring the fun story to life with a joyful, original style & gorgeous colour palette.

Have you ever met anyone who doesn't like animals? Well, it seems Mrs Golightly is just looking for some quiet time but...

a ZOO moved in next door.

Can you imagine someone who doesn't want to visit or play with or even see animals?

Animals are cute, fluffy & fun, aren't they? Doesn't everyone love them?

BUT have you ever seen llamas in pyjamas INSIDE a house or a giraffe in the bath wearing a shower cap?

Just about anything you can imagine might happen in this story.

How about an alligator on your radiator? Or a polar bear in your chair?

Or a kangaroo on your loo?

A croc' wearing your socks? Oh my goodness!

The animals dance outside in her garden & it doesn't look like they're going away any time soon. How will Mrs G manage?

Poor Mrs Golightly, she really isn't happy with the visitors who all invited themselves into her house!

There's so much to look at & talk about in this story.

There's even a surprising twist that will make you smile & maybe Mrs Golightly will be happy too.

This would be perfect as a read-aloud book in a group, a club, a library or at home. Everywhere!

It has been very popular as a featured gift for younger siblings of our reading MiniClub members.

We look forward to more books for children of all ages from Susie Bower & Francesca Gambatesa.
